Jorge L. Marrero

Jorge earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance degree with a minor in Real Estate from Stetson University in DeLand, Florida. After receiving his degree in 1988, he joined a real estate development company. Soon after, Jorge ventured into the property tax profession. He worked with a regional property tax consulting firm in South Florida where he excelled and was promoted to Assistant Vice President.

In 1996, he was recruited and employed by Ernst & Young LLP. As the Senior Tax Manager for Florida, Jorge represented the firm’s clients in pursuit of favorable tax assessments. He expanded his experience by developing, implementing, and managing aggressive strategies for the benefit of firm clients. In 1998, he sensed the need for personalized ad-valorem tax consulting. This vision culminated in a move to private practice. This transition has enabled him to provide more individualized, flexible, and comprehensive services.

Jorge has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate industry with primary emphasis in the ad-valorem tax field. His expertise embraces traditional and unique valuation techniques covering the vast majority of property types and categories. His experience encompasses the entire appeal spectrum from the
administrative through the judicial levels.
